Welcome!

As the school year comes to an end, I am looking forward to a great summer spent reading, gardening, and visiting with family. We are spending some time on the coast of Maine -- one of my very favorite places -- where we will ride bikes and hike through the beautiful landscape at Acadia National Park and in Lubec, Maine. I hope all of you have a great summer planned. Don't forget to bring those summer work packets in! Remember the first one is due June 14th, between the hours of 2:00 and 6:00 PM.

Open House for K-4 students is scheduled for Monday, August 13 from 6 - 7 PM, and for 5-8 students is is Tuesday, August 14 from 6 - 7 PM. School starts officially on August 15 with a half day for students -- lunch will not be served that day. Our first full day is August 16.

Be safe! Look both ways before you cross the street, don't talk to strangers, wear seat belts, sunscreen and bike helmets! See you soon,

Mrs. Fansler

About Me

My photo
I am happily married to my very best friend, Craig, and I have 3 children (Patrick, Casey, and Mary) and 5 grandchildren (Micah, Patrick, Hannah, Landon, and Jersie). I enjoy challenges, puzzles, and learning new things. I have worked in a variety of fields including education, human resources, data analysis, programming, and workforce development. Once my children became adults, I returned to my passion: teaching. This is my fifth year since returning to this profession, and this is my third year teaching 3rd grade at FA. I love being a teacher because it gives me the opportunity to make a difference in young lives. When I retire, I plan to summer in Maine, winter in North Carolina, and spend my days reading, listening to music, gardening, creating art, and enjoying friends and family.
